Paper Dragon

One of the greatest and more fun challenges was integrating an organic look with the mechanical requirements of the dragon: The wings open with the push of a plunger, and the tail stays parallel to the floor with tendon-like cables.

The texture of the skin was achieved by covering a unitard with epoxy foamto give it the look of thick scales.

The wings, having paper glued on one side, had to be crumpled and uncrumpled many times to give it's flexibility back to the cloth (there were many scrapes and scratches).

Jedi

I made this costume to a friend based on her own designs.

Avatar Aang

As fan of the series I couldn't stay behind and used my birthday and my bald head as an excuse to make this costume (and reuse it when my hair grew back again).

Beldam

Coraline, one of my favourite movies, inspired me to disguise myself of it's most terrifying character.

And it wouldn't have been perfect without all the details: the triangle stone, the key, the buttons, the string and the needle for those who would love too much my disguise.

Some say this is my best costume to this day. But what the future holds is yet to be seen.

 Gryffindor Hat

As a Harry Potter fan I was attracted by the idea of disguising myself as one of the characters. But I couldn't find the right one until Luna Lovegood inspired me to make a simple, unique and eye-catching costume to use it at a Harry Potter convention that took place exactly on my birthday.
